Hi everyone!!  If you pay attention to my facebook or instagram, you've maybe noticed that my nails are squovalish again, and this time, it's likely for good.  I've got one more full post lined up featuring my almonds and a few notds I thought I'd share in the meantime.  Bye, points....

And now the reason my points are finito--

You simply cannot play a stringed instrument with talons.  It took me about four days to come to grips with this.

Thank you for reading and have a beautiful day!! ☼☼

  1. Haha! I went through this same thing! I tried to play with pointy ovals for a while but it was no good. Now I have to keep them short and squovalish.

That A England polish is gorgeous!

    1. Oh, what do you play? My right index and middle nails are completely nubbified but the other eight have a slight free edge. I've gone through the majority of my life with completely unkempt nails so the unevenness doesn't bother me at all, lol. Plus, I get to keep this hobby :) (I'm not a fan of my super nubs because my nail beds are so short).

  3. Well, I guess there has to be some compromise for nails and music to co-exist....:)

    1. Totally! I was worried that I'd have to choose one over the other and while it is pretty much a no brainer, I shouldn't have to, you know?

    1. Thank you and thank you!! ♥♥ My DH chose it (I have no clue and he's extremely partial to Fender-- he used to play, too-- I don't remember if I mentioned that). So far, so good! I'll have had it two weeks tomorrow.

  5. Hi Liesl, I hope your bass playing is growing at a steep pace!!! I can so well understand and imagine who this new passion is engulfing your life!!! I habe scrolled about ten times up and down your polish spam trying to find a favorite but they are all drop dead gorgeous on you and each of them is so very Liesl!!! I changed my nailform over the weekend and it took me ages to get to that too - isn't the length of our nails such a first world problem? Hahaha!!!! Anyhoo your nails will still look beautiful I am sure xxx

    1. You did?! How exciting! It's indeed a first world prob, lol, and sort of incredible what an impact it has on us, personally. I felt the change to points monumental, lol, and now this change back, well, let's just say that I'm glad to be in a community who actually gets the gravity of such things ;) ♥ I've just added a couple songs to my practice regimen, to supplement my learning of the technical stuff. It's ridiculously gratifying to recognize the first few notes of a favorite song as being played by you :) :)

  6. I love Posh Bird...I loved it since I laid eyes on it years ago and it wears well on you. I sadly never got it because I never saw it at Ulta.

    1. I don't think they sell their super LE singles at Ulta, sadly. I was fortunate to be gifted with it by a dear friend.
